So currently i have (10) 3tb hard drives filled with content. I have them all on a centralized media center in my living room. I am looking to move all the hard drives to a new server that i am building. I am trying to figure out a way that i can load my content into my library onto the htpc in the living room off the server. I remember years ago doing something similar with my xbox with a program called xbmc server. but no luck finding it.

are ur hdd connected to the same network as your htpc ? and what version of xbmc do u have installed ? linux osx win ?

Just enable file sharing like SMB/Samba/Windows Sharing. Unless I'm not understanding the situation, that should be all you need.
