I am just getting started, I have read lots of posts/google search...

I have windows 7 set up for now, until I test things for server

I only have wireless connection

(if wireless set up won't work, stop reading now)

I am connected to the internet because I can download plug ins

Network tab, I see servies and internet access, I am not using proxy server

services page, enable all, tried turning on and off settings, but I do not see any type of network connection, Weather will not load, no devices / other lan computers do not see the xbmc box

services and internet access are the only tabs?? Am I missing the configuration?

I can ping the xbmc box, no problem, ports are wide open,

I just want to stream audio.. Ill buy someone a pizza for answering my dumb question because im sure im missing something super stupid..

If you're using v10.1 the Weather won't work because the web site it uses withdrew their service. If you use the Eden RC2 release, or wait a couple of weeks for the full Eden release, you'll find that the weather works.

As for the other network problems, you need to give more details. What are you trying to do and what isn't working. Remember that by default the Win7 firewall will block all attempts to connect to your PC.
