Hi,

I'm using a Asus Eeebox EB1021 (AMD E450 platform) together with XBMCbuntu.
This works really like a charm, very smooth ... exept no audio ??

The audio chip used is : ALC887

I've already tried the suggested fix on some forums :

sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd-hda-intel model=generic

But no luck ...

Alsamixer shows 2 sound cards:

1/ HD audio generic : This sound device does not have any controls
2/ HDA ATI SB: Master / Headphone / Mic / Mic Boost / S/PDIF / SPDIF Default (none are muted)

Any help ? Seems to be a difficult audio chip ... :confused2:

I'm having the same problem, but on a zotac box.

Do you get the bleeps in the interface? Does it just happen when you play a file?

Any E450 user... Could you please provide me with a dump of:
