There's still a fair bit of work to create a fully working jailbreak but at least the POC is there.
Since the new ATV is based on on iOS 5.1 (the same as the latest iPhone, Ipad firmwares),
an ATV jailbreak should'nt be too far behind.
The timeframe is anybodies guess though, just keep an eye on the iphone/ipad jailbreak sites.
