Hi everyone,

I'd like to buy an HTPC to be set as XBMC player.
I don't need disk space because I have all the videos on a NAS.

What I really need is:
- Fast boot time.... possibly directly with XBMC (It is possible a dual boot? Windows and XBMC?)
- Gigabit LAN port (for Full HD streaming)
- A remote controller perfectly compatible with XBMC

I've seen these product what you think?:
- Asrock (really interesting the instant boot feature)
- Asus
- Acer

Do you know also other brands?

Thanks
i have been using zotac zbox nano AD10, in have put in 4gm ram and 64gb ssd, has been working great with external readynas duo for storage
You could also consider Shuttle and Zotac for small form factor PCs, but first, look here and here for more guidance.
Thanks for the reply

I also considered the Shuttle XG41 chassis.... I have my OLD PC from where i can take the Core2Duo CPU, The RAM act...

In this way I can re-utilize old PC parts. What I have noticed is that the Shuttle XG41 chassis hasn't the IR on the front for the remote controller.

Which barebone (only chassis + mono + AC adapter) has the integrated IR? in need the power on/off feature... and i need something for the socket 775..

Thanks
up

in alternative I could also buy something all-in like Xtreamer Ultra or Boxee but i need the gigabit lag and the full compatibility with XBMC.

Is there any recommended brand from XBMC? what you think about ASROCK?

Thanks
