if you installed with git clone....update with git pull.
if you installed with a zip....reinstall with another zip.
I would just reinstall in another dir with git clone.

I couldn't figure out how to use git pull, so I re-cloned. But then I had to re-enter all my settings. Not a huge deal, but I'm sure there's a simple way to stay update when changed happen.

make sure you are in the cloned dir before you do a git pull.

I've been using this htpc-manager for a few days now and so far I'm loving it. I do have one minor request though, any way to add a pause/start all button in the transmission page.

While in Media (Movie, Tvshows), you can use XBMC hot keys. Space for Pause/Resume, M For mute, Arrow key, Enter and others.
see here for full list http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Keyboard_controls
Just passing it on. I thought i was one of the best features.

I know about those controls. The request was a pause/start all for the transmission torrent client. I try and be a good seeder but when it's time to play some games I've got to pause all of them.

The update from November 2013 adds an update mechanism that can update HtpcManager using git or using the github source. In the menu there is a button 'check for updates' which checks your version versus the most recent version available and gives you the option to update.
So if you did a fresh clone, with the lastes version, in the future you can use the internal updater!

I added an 'actions' button where you can start and stop all torrents at once. Commit #a0b5d5f
If you run the updater, restart HTPC Manager and refresh the transmission page, the button should be there.

Any chance you can check my pull when you got some time?

Synology package available:
A lot of people have been asking me about a Synology package for HTPC-Manager. As of today HTPC-Manager is included in the SynoCommunity latest version!

I have been playing some more with psutil, and i was wrong. You can easily find all mounted disks. I dont know why it didnt work on my laptop but it worked great on my "server"
I'd like to have a module where i have:
all mounted disks
diskspace
disk io
osversion
build
the user that is logged in
uptime
external ip
localip
cpu info like usage,
processes
memory info
network io
I thought that all we needed to do was add psutil to htpc-manager but thats only on linux, for other os(windows, bsd, osx) you need to compile stuff or download .exes. Fx, on windows you need pywin32, psutil.exe and wmi module(can packed with htpc-manager). There are good guides on this in psutil docs
