Full Version: [AppleTV1] Distorted audio since upgrading to Eden Final

Hi Guys,

Wasn't sure if this was ATV specific or if other people are experiencing this on other platforms as well. I upgraded from Eden Beta 2 to Final this morning, and since the upgrade, music playback is heavily distorted. I'm outputting from ATV1 via SPDIF. This wasn't an issue before I moved to the final build. It seems to affect all formats that I have tested. Sad

Will try over HDMI to see if the same issue persists. UPDATE: tested over HDMI, and while it doesn't sound quite as bad as over SPDIF, the distortion is still heavy.

Install method: Launcher 3.2.5
This is just a shot in the dark, but....

Use Cyberduck (wiki) and connect to the ATV1 (use SFTP and the username/password: frontrow)

Navigate to /Users/frontrow/Library/Application Support/XBMC/userdata/

Copy guisettings.xml over to your computer and open it with a text editor. Search for "volumelevel" and tell us what the setting is.
Thanks for the reply.

Volumelevel is set at 0.
In the interim, can anyone tell me how to downgrade to an earlier version using Launcher 3.2.5? The more I listen the more it grates!
You should be able to just instal XBMC v10.1 over v11
