Hi guys I'm planning my first HTPC.
So far I planned the following System:
Case: Silverstone LC20B La Scala
Motherboard: ASUS F1A75-V PRO
CPU: AMD A8 3870
RAM: Corsair Vengeance (PC1600, 8GB, CL9)
CPU-Fan: Scythe Shuriken Rev.2
Fan-Control: Scythe KM05-BK Kaze Master II
PSU: Silverstone ST40NF
SSD: Samsung MZ-7PC064D/EU 64GB
Blue-Ray: LG BH10LS38
TV-Card: Hauppauge WinTV HVR-5500 HD
Keyboard/Mouse:Logitech K400
OS: Win7
I want to use it watched videos from Networkstorage devices, watch blue-ray movies, watch live cable TV and listen to music etc. also I want the possibility to maybe play some games.
It will be connected to my Onkyo TX-NR 509
As Storage device I looking for an NAS, but I'm not sure if I want to build one or buy one. I really only need it as storage device.
Maybe just a Netgear RND2000-100ISS
I would really like to hear your thoughts.
What would not be possible with this setting, except hardcore gaming? I'm trying not to block any possiblities.
