I have an ASROCK ION3D
The sound doesn’t appear to be working with Movies or TV. It works fine with music
The settings I have are at the moment are
System > Settings >
Audio output HDMI
Speaker config 5.1
Boost volume level on downmix Ticked
Dolby Digital Ticked
DTS Ticked
Audio output device custom
Custom audio device plug:both
Passthrough output device HDMI (ALSA)
When I installed EDEN I had issues getting the audio to work right with my video files. Did you test with all the audio output devices?
After going through all 13 options audio output devices

Defaults (ALSA) will play TV files .avi
Custom PLUG:BOTH will play TV files .avi

none will play MKV files
I have the same issue with a similar ASUS Ion board.

I've tried every combination I can think of, with HDMI.

I then tried with an optical cable, with no succes.

I did get a regular analog Phono>Mini-jack cable to work, but the sound is very jittery.
