Evening guys,

I have just (in the past hour) switched from a WIN7 xbmc solution to the XBMCbuntu distro. So far I am only having one issue.

My set up is as follows:

250 GB Primary (XBMCbuntu installed)
2 TB Data (holds all media & library export from previous)

When I boot into XBMC it is unable to see the media stored on the Data drive until I boot further into the full LXDE environment (where the data drive shows as mounted).

So my question is, how can I get the NTFS data drive to mount automatically when booting straight into XBMC?

Thanks,

Josh
you may need to force the mount in your fstab file but not sure how to do that for NTFS. You should really think about moving that data off that drive and refomtting that drive as UFS for better over all support under a linux environment.
Tried both XBMCbuntu & Openelec but no luck.

I have tried a solution listed on the ubuntu wiki using pysdm, but this hasnt helped.

Anyone got a noddy guide to fix this? (new to linux)

Thanks
Hi.

Pysdm should work under XBMCbuntu.

Try to follow the steps from this guide:

ntfs mounts fine in fstab...done in 2minutes.
