Is there a way to create a new subfolder in xbmc to hide certain addons or channels? Or what is the best way to go about this? Thanks in advance!

Do you mean a new folder _within_ in virtual plugin folder? (Yes)

Please give us more details where exactly you want to have another folder. Maybe you can also upload a screenshot.
