hi there wondering if anyone can help, when listening to video's or mp3's on my xbmc the sound is very low making it only listenable at the highest setting on my tv.

i have tried the right thumbstick but that only seems to be able to decrease the db not raise it.

any ideas

1) make sure that the audio head room is set to 0db in settings->audio hardware

2) you can amplify the volume for videos. not something i recommend since there is a big chance for clipping problems..

i tried the audio headroom at 0 but still no joy, may i also say that the sound is low in games played too

and then suddenly it becomes obvious that it's not an xbmc issue

dont worry guys i managed to find out what the problem i had a cheap scart 3 to 1 scart lead dropped that out and all is ok, suppose you get what you pay for
