This is my proposed build I want to be able to watch everything at 1080p including 3d blu-ray rips. Any glaring issues with this set-up? I plan to run windows 7 home premium

@dmgash,

It'll be an awsome HTPC.........
loose the ripjaws.. get HyperX or Ballistix Tactical
thanks for the input...just wanted to make sure everything was ok. I've only built gaming PC's, where performance is really the only thing to worry about, here I gotta worry about price/performance/power consumption which makes it a little more complicated.

Also @eskro why not G-skill, and why do you recommend Crucial and Kingston? I'm just wondering cause most builds I see in places use G-skill.
u see GSKILL all the time cuz their somewhat pleasant to look at and they dont cost much.

i recommend Crucial Ballistix Tactical and Kingston HyperX ram cuz their ultra stable.

also, they dont have immense heatsinks.
those ripjaws might interfere with an eventual cpu cooler u might pick up...

in your ML03b htpc case, you cant use a super tall cpu cooler, u need low profile.
Ok thanks I changed the RAM to this, I plan to use the stock cooler for now(I'll prob end up with an after market one eventually in order to reduce noise). One last question I got is about fans/cooling, I know the case has room for 4 80mm fans on one side how many would you recommend, also any recommendations for a quiet fan, I found these, was just wondering if there was a go to brand.
fantastic ram choice!
thats exactly what my deer friend beer40oz uses in his new HTPC

silent case fans are in my HTPC guide (second post of it)
http://ow.ly/1s4Jcf

however, u can start without 80mm fans.

Yeah saw his HTPC and it was very similar to what I was doing his is mini-ITX compared to my micro-ATX, same APU as well as a very similar motherboard, so I figured I would go with his RAM. Now to wait for my tax return check to show up so I can get started lol Big Grin

Thanks a lot for your help!
Good stuff dmgash you will be happy..... if I was you and you where going to get the big Shuriken2 Version B down the road I would do it now..... that way you don't have to take your mobo apart again....... just my 2 cents....
+1 for shuriken v2 right off the bat
