Hi all,
I have tried to include as much info and pictures as possible to help you solve my problem. I have tried everything and read every wiki but I can't seem to get this working.
I am running XBMC on my iMac (for now - just to test that everything works fine) but will be buying a Macmini soon and using it as a HTPC. I want to get rid of all the problems now so I know how to set it up easily on the Macmini.
My set up is a Qnap 4-bay NAS that holds all my media - TV Shows and Movies in their respective folders. I use a program called FileBot to rename TV shows from their scene release names for nicer viewing in Finder on my Macs etc. I'm having problems however with XBMC scraping data for a lot of my renamed files. Please see screen capture examples below.

this is how the files for TV Show - Bent are on my NAS (viewed in finder)

and this is how they are shown in XBMC - it scrapes the data perfectly

i have used an app I found on the XBMC forums called ViMediaManager which automatically grabs meta data for TV and Movies and puts the info in the root folder of anything you search for.
___________ and now an example of one that isn't working. >>>>>>>>>>>>>

this is the same as the previous screen shot but showing 30 Rock TV folder. As you can see I have used the app to grab the metadata and images of this TV show too.

here are the files inside Season 1 folder. I have used FileBot and set it to thetvdb to rename the files from Season 1. I went to the website and looked at 30 Rock season 1 and the file names are correct according to the website. With filebot you can change the syntax and have it rename the file in any order/expression you want. I thought this would work fine after reading through the wiki... I was wrong.

here are the files viewed on XBMC of 30 Rock Season 1. As you can see they do not match the file names of Season 1 in finder or on thetvdb. They are season 2 episode names.
I have tried so many variations and advancedsettings.xml but I can't seem to get anything to work.
This is also only 1 TV show example. All of my movies seemed to work fine (i didn't use ViMediaManager to scrape the data as I don't have my movies in individual folders) I can take screen shots to show if it would help.
There is another TV show - How I Met Your Mother where the file names are in the same format as 30 Rock when viewed in Finder and they come up fine on XBMC. I have NOT however used ViMediaManager to manually scrape the data and load it in the root folder - XBMC did it by itself so I'm not sure if this can have any affect on the outcome.
Here is a pastebin of the xbmc.log file. I really hope someone has some idea of what is wrong and how I can fix these problems, they are really starting to bug me!

Thanks.
