Why go with Fusion for an unraid build? Just wondering.
I believe you are going to use sickbear, sab and other software on it?

If not then this is way too much and you can save money!

It seems your power supply its not single RAIL.... look at mine for good advice.
Neo Eco's are the best in my opinion.

It is single rail and is one that is recommended by Lime-Tech. I got it because I wanted a totally Modular supply...

It may be a little too much but I can always do more with it but right now, it's for storage of movies.

I wanted something that had more than one core and had lower power needs. This is a good price for that.
Cool KraziJoe ... then go for it!

A Sandy Bridge Pentium would be a much better choice. A G530 or G620 would be cheaper, have plenty of compute power and would use less energy.
That's exactly what I was going to recommend.

I currently use a G530 in a HTPC/server and it gets the job done while on Windows 7. So I imagine it would be alright for a Unraid server. I think it even has a better passmark than the A6-3500. If you live near a Microcenter they are $35.

I would also think you could get a much more flexible LGA1155 mobo around the same price with some SATA III ports for the future.
+1 on the SandyBridge. If you need CPU power and low power it's the better choice. Some of the new H77 motherboards have 8 SATA ports too.

I'd also look into this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811129066
I would check out more in the lime-tech forums; you don't need much CPU for unraid. They recommend that you can get by with a Sempron if all you want is storage. Personally, I have an AMD X3 460 in my unraid server on a cheap ass ECS motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813135272) and I could not be happier. My uptime right now is close to 60 days, which is around the time that i first installed unraid.

Be careful with what motherboard you select, not all chipsets are supported by unraid and there are known network card issues with some manufacturers (I can't remember right now).
yeah, I am now looking at either the Sempron or the G Intel series. Just need to find a good MB for them.
Are you just going to be serving up data? What all will your Unraid server be doing?

Just data for now. Streaming movies to my XBMC Box.
Sempron is perfect if u want to use your NAS as server only. (no sick/ no couch/ no sab....).

motherboard: ASRock 880GM-LE FX
