hello

i have a problem that when xbmc is idle there is full fan load and is really loud. when watching movies ( hd etc) fan slows down to the needed speed)

fan is original on 775 socket.

cpu load is 10-15%
ram usage aprox 500mb (30%)

if anybody can help would appreciate. at the moment i have xbmc pvr version, tried normal version load of the fan is the same

Are you using Dirty Regions and true fullscreen?

I realised the same, whenever XBMC is getting minimized, the CPU-Load goes up from ~3% to ~15% and the fan of my laptop speeds up. I'm using true fullscreen and dirty regions are set to 3 by special://xbmc/system/advancedsettings.xml (don't know if that file should be there or if that's a leftover from a Eden Beta with HD audio test I did).
