hi all,

when i try to play some mkv-files i get the audio, but no picture.
am i dding something wrong ?

i'm using xbmc xbox media center 1.1.0 2005-06-24 [y], but i've tried other versions as well, same result.

should i use another version, and if so, can you help me locate it ?

what type of video is in your mkv file?

its probably the same mkv file(s) that both maniacbomber and i are having problems with. nero avc/h.264 video and he/lc-aac audio. with that recent little workaround with the new mplayer.dll got nero working.....it still doesn't in these .mkv files. and i can't find a suitable way to extract the stream to see if it works. mkvextract will only get the audio and vdm crashes.

kleinvaag: are they [eek] anime releases?

anyone solve this problem yet? i have a mkv file that was encoded in h.264 and it just plays the sound. i have the latest build of mplayer and xbmc.

it doesn't seem that h.264 works in a mkv container
tried with builds under a month old.
