I recently built an HTPC with and i3 and a GT 210.
I have XBMC running on Ubuntu. I am using the Nvidia proprietary drivers.
With VLC I get perfect 1080p playback, I tested this using a Blu-ray Image.
With XBMC 1080p playback is terrible, there are loads of frame drops.
So I was wondering what I can do to solve this? It seems odd to me that VLC, being the slow program that it is, is so much faster than XBMC.
