Bumping this suggestion now as Android got its own subforum, please don't discriminate BSD users
I'll pass it along, but I think it has more to do with if we plan on making official Team XBMC builds or not. For example, XBMC can also be built/run on Meego.
Why not also post a news article on xbmc.org website about XBMC for BSD finally being merged into mainline to credit Fneufneu?
Fneufneu have probably been working on the FreeBSD port for almost as long as the guys who ported XBMC to Android
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=53708
The news could potentially also attract users and developers from additional BSD distributions and indirectly help OS X too?

The BSD code for XBMC has already been merged into your mainline on GitHub while the MeeGo code is not even available as a pull request.
So you can build XBMC for FreeBSD from your master without having to make any changes, just for all other OS's that XBMC supports, but you can't do that with MeeGo, that is a huge difference.
I created the forum, but I doubt there will be posts in it.
We have <1000 users on BSD at the moment.

Thanks! I understand, still, just feel that BSD and the port developer deserve for it to be seen a fully qualified platform for Kodi.
For Kodi's curriculum vitae it always looks cool to have another supported OS or platform as another notch added to its belt.
