I have being going through 100's of posts and threads but cant find help... so please forgive me if I am asking a general easy question.

I have a Geforce GT610 card that the XBMCbuntu does not see. It says GPU: Unknown board PCI/sse2/3dnow!

Yet I am getting video over the hdmi and I have managed to get audio as well with a bit of fiddling.
Not sure if the video is the best quality though as a previous fedora install looked but betterHuh

I have tried updating the drivers using:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

But it still does not recognise the card.

Please can someone point me to the right direction.

Oh by the by I am a Linux Noob so go easy on me :-)

TIA

oh here is a aplay -l report.... not sure if this helps

Welcome to Ubuntu 11.10 - XBMCbuntu (GNU/Linux 3.0.0-21-generic-pae i686)

card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]

Hm, I think the GT 610 is just too new at the moment. AFAIK you just have to wait until it will be supported, but I am not up-to-date with the supported nvidia-cards.
Very Weird - when I was running openelec it picked it up as well and a standard fedora install - pitty not there for the XBMCbuntu version - hoping someone can help me install the drivers....
