Hi all,
I am running XBMC "Dharma" on Ubuntu 10. I have a Haugepage remote control with a usb IR receiver attached to my HP box.
It worked perfectly for about a year and now all of a sudden, the remote has stopped working completely. I have put fresh batteries in the unit - still no joy.
I strongly suspect there is an issue with lirc itself rather than the device.
I have updated the Linux system. I then used apt-get to remove the lirc package and re-install it.
I then used dpkg -reconfigure lirc in order to give me the menu option to reselect the correct remote system. In order for it to work in the past I have had to select "Windows media centre remote" and NOT one of the Hauppage options.
I am still stuck without the use of a remote. Any help will be greatly appreciated
