Hi,

I installed windows 7 on my computer, afterwards I installed XBMC live, which works like a charm with dual boots. :-)

Now my plan was to share a partition betweeen windows 7 and XBMC live. But in XBMC I can't find my "storage" partition - where I have all my videoes and music.

Do I need to format the storage partition in a specific format - which both Win7 and Ubuntu reads ? or do I need to mount the drive in linux somehow ?

Thank you,
Joergen
Jdalby,

No, you shouldn’t have to worry about reformatting. All of my machines dual-boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu, and each machine has an NTFS drive both can access. I’ve not used XBMC live, but being based on Ubuntu, it shouldn’t have trouble with most formats.

What you WILL have to do is configure that partition to auto-mount.

If you run into any trouble you should post your /etc/fstab here.
Hi Kevide,

thanks for the links, got the ntfs harddrive mounted in Linux, and it works. :-)
