hi,
i'm still running xbmc on the first model of xbox to watch stuff from my pc to the tv in the living room... i love it, but i can't play hd videos.
i decided to change it, and after a lot of reading, i thought apple tv (+xbmc, obviously) was the right choice: i was looking for something not so ugly, fanless, with hdmi, enough power to play hd videos and a native support for a remote control.
imegine how disappointed i was when i realized that in the apple tv 3 i bought i could not install it... now i'm still using the old xbox but the problem is still there...
can someone suggest me another device which matches the requirements and actually allows me to run xbmc?

I personally think it's best to build a small box and use components to get what you want. If you're not tech savvy to build, the Zotac boxes are pretty good although you won't get HD audio.
