I have some strange CPU activity going on with XBMC and my Eden Final XBMCLive dist.
While idling, the CPU usage on Core 0 or 1 can jump up to 100% for 1 minute or so, only to be fine after for 15-20 minutes.

Anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot these types of errors?
Maybe its the video info scanner or an addon. Enable debug logging in system settings and check if there's something obvious logged.

I must admit that I cant actually read this log Sad
There's a lot of addon logging going on there before you actually enabled debug logging.
Now that debug logging is enabled please restart XBMC and just let it sit idling so we can see what's going on.

There we go, restarted waited 10 minutes or so, doing nothing (idling).
According to the OSD-Debug information CPU 0 has been running @ 100% the entire time for some reason.
Nothing obvious in the log. You tried to play around with the vsync options + xorg yet? Other than that i have no idea, sorry.
Yeah I've tried the vsync options in xbmc.
However, I have no idea what xorg is; sounds like a config file for linux?

Am I btw suppose to turn Vsync on or off Tongue
Ive tried both in xbmc without any success.
Seems to work better when im logged in as root.
Is it possible to change the default logged in user to root?
