Either my searching skills suck or theres no threads covering this subject, I suspect the former.

As far as picture quality and sound quality go are there any differences between running Openelec or XBMC on a windows machine?

I remember reading something about Openelec not being able to do HD-MA audio but I'm sure sure if thats changed in the latest version.

HD-MA is only available in Frodo (Dev builds)
As this is not yet released OpenELEC is still on Eden.

But there are a bunch of us (myself included) making Frodo builds for OpenELEC.

And I do not believe there is any difference, as OpenELEC is running XBMC master.
