Hi,
I am running xbmcbuntu and a few weeks ago I removed the standard network manager in the (LXDE?) gui to try wicd instead. Now however I want to go back to the original network tools because wicd doesn't work properly with a wireless repeater.

Can anyone help me to set up the original network tools again?

Thanks
How did you previously remove the network manager? If you had used the apt-get remove command from a terminal, you can issue a
Code:
history | grep apt-get
command from the terminal to see a history and locate which package you had removed. If you had used the Synaptic Package Manager, you can launch Synaptic and select File > History, select the month/date in which the package was removed and locate the name of the package. Once you've determined the name of the package, you can use sudo apt-get install <package-name> or Synaptic to reinstall it.

To use Synaptic, you will have to switch to the XBMCbuntu desktop.
Thanks artrafael, I will try to find it that way - I wasn't aware of those commands.
