I am trying to set up a shared database between my windows HTPC and new Raspbmc set up. I've created the database but need to edit the raspbmc advancedsettings file - How do I do this?

I have tried SSH but I can't get into the .xbmc folder to get to the file.

I also tried using filezilla - managed to transfer a new file but only as far as the pi folder - nothing else is visible.

Would really appreciate help with this as everything I have come across has made these sound really simple but can't find the explicit details.
