I have been using XBMC in Ubuntu as a UPNP server for quite a while. It has been streaming to to a WD-Live and PS3 with no problem. I also have a couple of Ubuntu boxes running XBMC as a client. I tried to watch a movie today on the PS3 and the server would crash. I would restart the XBMC server but as soon as I would try to connect with the PS3 the xbmc would crash. The error on the PS3 was DNLA protocol error 2101.
It has been a while since I used the PS3 as a movie client and am sure it has something to do with an update. If anyone has had a similar problem or know of a fix, that would be great

You should enable the debug log in XBMC and then post it using pastebin. Then someone might be able to tell you what the issue is.
