I have a fairly budget HDTV (Dynex) that I'm using as a HTPC output in my bedroom. I also have a second screen, basic Acer monitor plugged in.
With my last TV, I would turn it on and off but the computer would still remember. With the new setup (DVI to HDMI cable), the computer forgets about the second monitor when it's powered off.
This presents a problem because XBMC gets confused and when everything starts back up I have to manually re-start XBMC, go into the display settings and move it to the 2nd monitor.
Is there any solution or ways to hard code this setting? Any tricks to tell Windows to always look for the second monitor?
