I posted in a thread similar to this, but I am not experiencing crashing fast forwarding, I am however getting skipping when I fast forward a seamless branched bluray or dvd split into two parts.
Basically anything faster then 2x or seeking seems to break and it skips backward to an earlier part of the movie. Fast forwarding 2x and chapter skipping works fine... These are all local files on the same pc running xbmc... I have a dune and popcorn hour network media player that can fast forward these seamless branched or multi episode files fine.... I would like to think xbmc should be able to.
Perhaps this is not fixable for the way xbmc operates but I would like to think it could be.... Single files are no issue. This error seems to have went on for quite some time making fast forward or seek unusable for any retail bluray or dvd that uses seamless branching or multi episode files.... Below is 2 other threads describing the issue, one links to a ticket that claims its fixed, but i as well as a few others do not seem to have this fixed?
