Hi!
I have a problem with XBMC. I had to remove a pulseaudio from system (sound now work on ALSA). Before it, everything was ok (with XBMC). After it, XBMC crashes everytime after start, after one second.
I uninstalled XBMC, installed again, remove config folder from home directory. And XBMC still crash. Phonon configured, other program like VLC or MPlayer after configuration work fine.

Call me blonde... alsa-plugin-jack. I forgot to remove it from system.
After uninst. jack, and system reboot, XBMC work.
