I have several DVD ISO files, as well as DVD TS_VIDEO folders (ISO file contents copied to hard disk).

Some play okay if you let them run from the start. Others only show a black screen.

For all, trying to use the DVD menus (via the DVD Menu icon) fails miserably. So my questions are:

1) is XBMC supposed to handle both of these types of files?

2) if so, how do I make them work properly.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I've never had any problems playing either of those formats including full menu access. I'm not sure what the problem is but you'll have to give more information about what version of XBMC you are running and possibly the hardware on your system.
