Been a Linux user of XBMC for years and have a number of them residing around the house. For a particular laptop / project I wanted a temp windows setup.

I've got everything setup from auto-focus, disabling the wmc, and the look/feel I want. However, one thing I can't find (or can't figure out with MCERemote addon or others) is if it is possible to have the same functionality of the windows button in window as in linux which is start? The linux keymap is <start> KEY_HOME </start>

Is it the green windows button of mce remote that you are referring to? If so there are easy ways to use it to start xbmc.

It's the green button on the mce remote. I have a mediagate and a original microsoft mce remote. The microsoft mce remote does what I prefer (like linux) whereas if you hit the windows button it goes to the home screen. The mediagate does nothing right now.
