Today I was looking over some dvd/bluray menu backgrounds. The music and actual animation is so nice and it is too bad that with xbmc we are just stuck with static images for our fan art. What if we could also have videos!? Imagine any place you currently see your fan art if you were able to show any video in that same place. For movies and tv shows you could have the menu backgrounds play there or even the pv, what ever you want!
XBMC already has a "preview" mode that sort of works this way. Obviously such a thing would not work if your already playing content but I believe a standard could be worked out and even be supported by skins directly or by xbmc itself.
