I'm going to reserve judgment until the images have proper aspect ratios, cause that is driving me nuts

Np, it's what feedback is for. I really only have a small 1280x800 screen to test on atm.
And even with aspect ratios intact things don't always seem to scale the same way.
So what screen dimension are you using? 16x9 - 16x10 - 4x3? Or a resolution, also fine.
And are we talking in the videoOSD or in the library?

Yeah that might be a bit much. Consider it to be on the to-do list. Though the solution i want will take time.
And i'm not starting on viewtypes until the posters vs banners thing gets sorted.

And/or manually unpacking and placing it in your skin folder.

Foir your aspect ratios... maybe you could add a switch in the skin's option so that people can go from 16:9 to 4:3? Just an idea.
No need for an option when this can be coded in the skin.
