I know this has not hit the market yet but this looks like it could be a great DVR backend for XBMC. It's a single tuner only but the great news for ATV users is that it streams MP4's. Not sure how it's converting mpeg2 streams to MP4. Says up to 5 people can access the content at the same time. $149 for the unit.

I also support this idea. I ordered one & it's on its way now. I use mainly XBMC for my media consumption needs, but wanted to add some OTA channels to my experience. Having such feature integrated into XBMC as a plugin would be awesome. This product won best of CES Award for Home Theater, plus a lot of people backed this up on Kickstarter. It's not just a matter of being interested, a developer has to be able to get his/her hands on one before even considering coding something for it. So, if someone is offering to buy one for such an effort...

Does it act as a upnp server? That should at the least let you view recorded shows. I'd be more interested in this if it had at least 2 tuners and someone ported mythtv to it.

I have one on its way, should be getting here this week (some issues on its delivery due to big storn in NYC / NJ area) Im willing to donate mine to a developer who's want to create, distribute & maintain active plugin for this piece of hardware.
Got my simple.TV device still in the box. If any developer committed to create a plugin for it, I'm more than happy to donate it. PM me with proof that you really can do this. I haven't even activated it yet and got the code on my email. Thanks in advance.
