Hi guys! I've two machines running XBMC and I would like to have my laptop (which will be connected to the TV) to use the PC's library via DLNA/UPnP. I can't get it to work, I have to navigate as if looking for files and only then will the movies appear. Is there any way to have the UPnP share be setup as the master Movies library?

Nope.

The media library can only scan files in network shares and DLNA is a database not files. Look at the wiki guide on syncing multiple libraries.
