Yesterday I re-installed XBMCbuntu from scratch, configured it a little bit, installed some add-ons, scratched some music directories, listened to some music and started a movie.
Everything worked like a charm. I shut down my HTPC until I started again today.
Now every time I want to start playing music or a movie the GUI crashes and restarts.

Please enable debug log (wiki)ging in XBMC first, then try to play some music. When XBMC crashes, upload the new log to www.pastebin.com and post the URL here.

By the way, you are running XBMCbuntu, which is "Eden", rather than "Dharma" as stated in your thread title.

Thanks and sorry for my mistake.
After I updated the Nvidia drivers to the newest ones Eden did not start up at all, so I decided to re-install XBMCbuntu. So far everything's running fine again.
