Full Version: How does XBMC recognize a .srt file?

Since there is no teletext subtitle support in XBMC I have made a small script that extracts .srt subtitles from tv recordings and puts them in a .srt file with the same name as the recording but apparently XBMS does not "see" this file. Is there som special naming required for a .srt file to be recognized as a subtitle for a .ts recording? I'm using npvr as backend.
Maybe I should rephrase the question, what name is required for the .srt file in the same folder as the video file for XBMC to use the subtitles from this .srt file?
Should just be the same name as the video +.srt
Well for whatever reason XBMC does not use it for subtitles, and when I try to turn subtitles on it goes to the internet sites in search for a subtitle.
EUREKA! If I add my recording folder to Video XBMC will display the subtitles when I play the recording, but NOT if I play it via Live-tv -> Recordings.
Must be a bug or what?
I don't have PVR/live-TV set up, but from what you describe, it does sound like a bug.
