Hey guys
I have an old Shuttle XPC SP35P2 that I was thinking about using as a htpc. The only problem is that its LOUD - when the ICE fans crank up it sounds like a mini vacuum cleaner! These systems are notoriously loud - Has anyone successfully replaced all the fans / quietened a similar system?
I've tried speedfan to little success, the fans run on a low RPM for few mins, then shoot up momentarily because the temps get too high.
Would be waste not to use this lil machine. Specs are: Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz, WD 500GB, 4GB Memory, Radeon HD4870 1GB GPU, DVD drive.
