I would like to know which version of XBMC includes PVR support? Please explain in detail.
PVR will be part of the upcoming XBMC version named "Frodo". Upcoming means that it's not yet released but we're in the progress of getting it stable and releasing it to the end of this year (if everything works out fine). In the meantime you can use the current development version of XBMC Frodo which is available as daily updated snapshots. You can download a nightly snapshot in our "nightlies" download section (see here http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/ ).

Please note that XBMC will only act as PVR "Frontend" and not as "Backend". So XBMC will only act as user interface and player for PVR backends. A PVR backend is a PVR software that's dealing directly with your tuners, performs channel scans, does the actual timeshifting, recording etc. Examples for PVR backends are: tvheadend, MythTV, ForTheRecord, MediaPortal TV-Server, DVBviewer (support for it is wip), VDR, NextPVR, NJoy,VUplus.

Please also note that setting up the backend is not part of XBMC installation so you have to set it up yourself. Also the required Addons to connect to the PVR backends are not yet part of the XBMC nightlies, thus you have to compile/download them manually atm - but a community member provides precompiled downloads for the various backend addons (see http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=140148 ).

Edit - please also check out our Wiki where the installation of some PVR backends is explained: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=PVR (use the navigation on the right handside)
