Hi;
Is it possible to install xbmc on the windows 8 surface tablet? I have tried and it doesn't allow it.
If possible how can this be done?

that will only be possible on the surface pro tablet as it runs a true windows 8 x86 environment. the current surface rt tablet uses a different version of windows and is not x86 compatible.
