Full Version: Ubuntu Server with XBMC Xvba loses audio after changing input on TV

I recently rebuilt my HTPC and used Ubuntu Server 12.04 64 bit as the OS. I then installed XBMC per the instructions in the following thread:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=116996

Everything seemed great, getting audio and video over HDMI to the TV.
However whenever I change the TV input to the ROKU and then return to the XBMC box, I have no audio. Rebooting the XBMC box while the TV input is active and everything works great again.

I see a similar problem over on the Openelec forum. Not sure what Openelec is, so not entirely sure if it relates to Ubuntu Server or not. I don't see anyone on this site with similar problems, so I thought I'd ask if this is a known bug. I realize I'm running alpha software and will live with it if it's being worked on, but if no one else is having the problem then it's probably something I can fix.
thats a fglrx bug, upgrade to the lastest driver as explained in the end of the howto
Thanks, just so I'm clear; you mean this part?

Manually upgrade fglrx:
This driver only supports AMD series >=5xxx cards. If you have <=4xxx series you must download the fglrx-legacy driver and replace the filename accordingly.

I ask because according to my motherboard documentation, the Graphics are AMD HD6320, so I had skipped that part.
