Install Method: dmg,
SVN Revision: xbmc 11.0 git:20120321-14feb09 (compiled : Mar 22 2012 (is this the right thing to list?)

As of tonight, XBMC is starting to crash when I launch certain shows. I had just watched one of the shows. now it crashes XBMC. other shows, which I had watched, crash XBMC. some shows and movies do not crash xbmc when I launch them. A show that opened fine a minute ago now crashes xbmc... grr.

I was just testing another mkv out - it played alright, then I hit the backspace button to see the menu with the video playing, it played for a second and then XBMC crashed.

Here is the xbmc log: http://pastebin.com/J9Z9rFCf and old.log http://pastebin.com/V5ZxbTTE
Here is the problem report (the one where you can reopen XBMC): http://pastebin.com/8i2uXU1q
here is a problem report after watching a second of the video in the menu and then crashing: http://pastebin.com/7d1tRvgk

The files seem to be MKVs, though not all MKVs are crashing, and as I mentioned I've watched some of them before successfully.
I don't have a crash report log for whatever reason...

Skin name: Aeon Nox

Any ideas? did I supply everything needed to help me out?

Thanks! Any help you can offer will be much appreciated!

Could you try confluence skin and report back if it still crashes?
Hi Memphiz,

I loaded Confluence and it is still crashing.
OK, so it got late last night when I was playing around with XBMC and I am now remembering that I was poking around the video settings. What happened was I must have switched rendering to software (from the default of auto detect) and not switched it back.

I just switched it back to Auto Detect and so far videos are not crashing XBMC.

Hooray! Back to Aeon Nox. I set up some custom menu items with it that I wasn't able to do with other skins.
