fulldump to pastebin.com and put the link in here - same with xbmc.log (wiki)
Did not get an xbmc log, but here is the pastebin link.... http://pastebin.com/iTJuaLGy
there is an xbmc.log in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/xbmc.log - i need that... Turn on debugging in System -> System -> Debugging before creating the log.
Reinstalled FRODO, turned on system log as you described. Went to ICEFILMS plugin, searched for Vegas... system crashed. Used iFile to navigate to var/mobile/library/preferences/xbmc, but no log file there. Have 6 folders. addons, media, sounds, system, temp, and userdata. No other files in the xbmc directory.

Well, if the problem is only with IceFilms, you won't get any support here.

If you also encounter this problem with something else, then please continue your discussion using this other example of a failing function or add-on.
Well, it only happens with the FRODO Beta. Eden V11 works fine, so I thought someone might want to know. I have no problem continuing to use V11.
look at my path again. The log is not in the xbmc folder but in the preferences folder...
Ahhh, my mistake, sorry. Okay, I have reinstalled Frodo and captured the logfiles on my iPad 2.

http://pastebin.com/D3gfPYje contains your XBMC log

http://pastebin.com/K2MkazJW contains a crashdump taken with crash reporter app for IOS.

I also installed XBMC on my iPhone 4s. Does not crash there, but gets script errors not present in v11.

Hope this helps.
Your texture database is broken. You can just remove it - it will be regenerated automatically. Its located in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/Database/Texture*.db
Memphiz, thank you. Excellent! That was the problem. Not sure why it does not fail with V11, but none the less, that solved that problem.

However, that just got me one level deeper. Now the symtoms of my iPad match that of my iPhone in that I get a script fail after selecting a search result returned.

This does not occur on V11.

The log file is located at http://pastebin.com/Hqu9kYwr

We do not support icefilms
Do you support XBMC Martijn?

When something works fine in Eden V11 and fails in Frodo V12, would that not indicate there just might be an issue in a Beta release?

You folks asked for bug reports. I was just trying to be helpful. V11 works fine for me. I will even be happy to make a donation.

Granted, I am new to XBMC. I just started using the app about a month ago, so I am still learning my way around it.

But I am a retired programmer myself. I know that software does not always behave in the real world as well as it does in the lab where folks know all the right buttons to push. Give it to a newbie if you want really want to know how well you did.

I repeat. We don't support icefilms - no matter what this addon reveals in XBMC. For icefilms and the like - go to xbmchub.com.
If you show us it also happens with a plugin you can find in our repo we can look at it.

We do not support piracy addons
