I want to make sure that either the Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 deluxe or the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD sound card is compatible with XBMC Frodo. I don't see any reason it shouldn't work but want to double check with the community.
The reason is I don't want to spend the money to upgrade a perfectly good working Onkyo 787, it has mutli-channel inputs & I have a HTPC so I figure I just need to add a quality DAC in between them to get Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD. I did purchase a used Asus HDAV1.3 but received a defective unit.
Any other options to output quality analog multi-channel HD audio from the HTPC?
