Hi, I run xbmc from a small acer one laptop and my music is located on a lacie network space NAS using samba. Problem is that XBMC have to re-add all the metadata for all the music files everytime i turn it on, and it takes forever. Can I avoid that in any way? Kind regards Kresten Buch

This is probably related to your scrape settings. If XBMC tries to scrape the music paths before the network shares are connected then all the paths are "missing" and they are cleaned from the database.

Disable Update library on startup in the Music settings
