Thanks but I think your addon.xml still is showing 1.1.41 causes Kodi to think it didn't update. It fixes the video qualities issue, but I still have a problem of no subtitles (English) in Kodi 17 betas (working fine in 16).

ooops, thank for letting me know about the version issue. I should be fixed now
Can you fix vidics some resolvers are not working.thanks
I push an update to viki to now allow you to watch the latest episodes again. when you see a video quality with (?) it means it's a guess on the video source but most of it should work.
Hello Dknight. Today a stable release of Krypton was released and I am having an issue where the subtitles would not always download when I pick an episode. I have to keep clicking the stream over and over until I finally get the sometimes to work. Please help. Thanks
Are you sure they aren't downloading, or are they downloading but Kodi is not loading them with the video? The way viki add-on loads subtitles is not guaranteed to work. The work around has been to insert wait time in the add-on after it tells Kodi to start playing the video before it tells Kodi to load the subtitles.

On the Subtitle tab, video-settings, "preferred subtitle language" set it to English.
Font to use for text subtitles: arial.ttf.
On the subtitle offset I set it to .5 sec delay.

Not sure if this is related but as for the playback tab, "preferred audio language" I also set to English.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice. This helped a lot

One issue is that subtitles are still temperamental. I have to toggle 'Show Timed Comments' on and off in order to get the subtitles working again. Could the developer please have a look.at this? Awesome add-on!

Edit: I'm on Krypton like the poster above
I am having the same issue as Minameaar. Sometimes I have to toggle be timed comments on in order for it to work. And sometimes even though if I toggle the timed comments on and the subtitles do not show up
Is there any possible way of turning off subtitles instead of disabling it in every VODs?

I tried your add-on, but when I try to load VODs, it keeps giving me an error, "Check the log for detail information."
Should I delete origianl VIKI add-on?
I'm currently using 16.1 Jarvis.
VIKIR can coexist with D'Knight addon without problems. Can you show me a log please!

Hey Sunshower, can you change Order of episodes in addon settings and test if is working that way!

It works when I changed the order of episodes.
If I set "Select preferred video quality" to HD 1080p, some series wouldn't get played with an error "Subtitles not available or disabled."
If I changed quality to HD 720p, I would get the same error message, however, the video would get played afterward.
It's really strange.
