Hi,

I just installed xbmcbuntu 11.0, and I have 3 fundamental questions:
1, I added my ripped DVD folders from my Synolog NAS
It sees all the DVD folder, but did not pull any movie information
I tried the default TMDB. MovieMaze and Universal Scrapper
but nothing ... when the screen said getting movie info disappear too quick
so I don;t think it did anything

2. Click P to play the DVD movie folder name, just continuously plays the title screen
and stuck there until I use my mouse to advance to the next file
but then after that it continues to play the next VOB files automatically
after a brief pause, I can live with this, but is this how it suppose to work
The old Plex seems to work more smoothly, where I can click on the title screen
just like playing from a DVD

3. I have a Streamzap remote, how do I get it to work
Does the xbmcbuntu bundle have the lirc library?
Or I have to instlal it, and how would I instlal it? I don;'t see a terminal window
to run apt-get....

Thank you for your help

Sonny
1. I'd suggest that you need to check "Movies are in separate folders..." and then ensure that the directory name matches that in your chosen scraper source.

2. No comment.

3. If you need to install something on xbmcbuntu, either ssh in from another machine or switch to a console with ctrl-alt-<function key> (XBMC should be on F7 or thereabouts if you need to get back again). That said, I think lirc is installed by default, so you probably need to beat the config to death a bit, first making sure that your receiver is detected (lspci/lsusb). A quick Google throws up some information about getting this remote to play nicely, so I'd start by floundering through those.

Thank you for responding...

1. That "Movies in separate folders" is already set, I have used plex before and it matched
all the folder names to IMDB names without any issues

2.
lsusb shows the remote:
=================
lsusb

and lirc already installed:
==================
sudo apt-get install lirc
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
lirc is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 144 not upgraded.
sonny@Ubuntu-bmc:~$

Under SYSTEM->Input Devices, the only thing I can see is "REMOTE CONTROL SENDS KEYBOARD PRESSES"
and with this enabled or disabled, hitting te remote control does not nothing.

Please advice
