Full Version: New guy having basic issues...

So I'm using Transparency at the moment.
It seems like it took all my movies and added them into one folder.
And got rid of my TV shows in lieu of some random junk shows.
I have no idea what's going on.

I have my files set up in a very basic way.
Each folder: Movies, Television, etc. contains folders A-Z.
How do I simply point the Movies link to the movies folder and show the A-Z folders?

Thanks.
ber53rker - welcome to the boards

Firstly xbmc has its own way of scraping movies and tv series and while your method may appear logical and correct, to xbmc it means nothing.

Folders and files should be named in a specific fashion - have a look at this WIKI entry for details - http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Vid...he_library

Once you have all your files scraped and available from the library function, you can effectively forget about an A-Z folder set-up (in windows explorer) as it isn't needed to view your files in xbmc with that type of sort (A-Z)

My folders are set up like this

F:\Movies\Movie Name (Date)\Movie file
G:\TV Series\Name of Show\Season\s01e01 (episode details)
You should be able to view everything in the Files/Videos view. That will give you the plain file/folder structure.
